Describe the brand briefly and concretely
Write in one sentence what the brand sells. Then explain to whom it is addressed and in what situation you would like it to be preferred. Instead of “we appeal to everyone,” choose the main customer group. If you are a new business, you do not need to present customer history that has not yet been formed as real.
Finalize name and spelling
Clarify the brand name, subheading if any and the letters to be used. The brief should include whether Turkish characters will be preserved, whether a year of establishment or additional expression is required in the logo. The legal suitability of the brand name is evaluated separately from the design work.
List usage areas
Profile picture, website, business card, product label, signage or vehicle application requires different sizes and backgrounds. Specify the smallest and largest application. If there is a single color printing requirement, tell me up front. This information allows creating a system that works in different applications rather than a design that only looks good on the big screen.
Share examples with reasons
For each of the three examples you like, write down what you like: color, letter structure, simplicity, or overall feel. You can also share the examples you don't like and give reasons. The examples are to talk design direction; It is not intended to reproduce another brand's logo.
Determine decision and delivery process
Who will approve the project? Will the feedback come from a single person? Do I need a file to be sent to print? Editable source file expected? Clarify these before bidding. Price, schedule and number of revisions are discussed within this scope. A short brief reduces uncertainty; design alone does not guarantee the result.
